Financial Literacy

 Young Entrepreneurs Program (YEP)

Amanda Hayes Foundation's Young Entrepreneurs Program (YEP) features interactive projects designed to teach urban youth economics in a hands-on manner. Through this program, young entrepreneurs are taught business finance and business law (entrepreneurs draft contracts, learn about intellectual property protection, etc.) by experts in those fields.

By exposing urban youth to different career paths in this hands-on manner, YEP advances Amanda Hayes Foundation's vision to increase their financial literacy, confidence, and goal-setting.

Some of the topics covered by YEP include:

  • Personal Finance

  • Wealth Building Techniques

  • Financial Journaling

  • Contracts

  • Business Plans

  • Business Exit Plans

  • Budgeting

  • Goal Setting

  • Finance Career Paths

Fostering Economic Skill Sets

Young Entrepreneurs gather to present their research on topics ranging from stock portfolios to building personal wealth.
